Put An End To Your Limited Self-Concept
Many individuals see themselves to be restricted. They have no idea how much they are capable of achieving if they trust in their own potential and work diligently to make their goals a reality.
Are you one of those individuals? Are you continually doubting your own skills and undervaluing yourself? If the answer is yes, it’s time to shift your perspective and begin thinking that you have something unique to contribute.
I understand that beginning a company may be frightening, and that being successful enough to provide you with the life you want may seem like a faraway pipe dream.
However, do you know what? You are capable of doing so. And I know this because, like the greatest mentors, I have traveled the path I am recommending to you.
Continue Your Search Until You Discover Your Passion
For the most of my life, I was trained to follow a particular path and to do everything “properly.” As I grew older and attended high school and college, I knew I was destined for greater things.
I could not bear the prospect of having to do what everyone else was doing – or what society expected of you – and go college, get a decent career, and so on.
Every time I awoke in the morning to prepare for my office job, I felt as if my life was passing me by.
To overcome my disappointment, I embarked on a quest to discover my passion. This prompted me to pursue a variety of interests along the road, including photography, hand writing, and graphic design — in short, anything that allowed me to express myself creatively.
I found myself researching how to establish a company ‘as a photographer’ or ‘as a graphic designer’ with each new interest.
This recurring motif convinced me that my destiny was to found a company. Unfortunately, I had no clue what kind of business I wanted to start, and I was first afraid to quit my’safe’ position.
The epidemic then struck, and I was laid off from my ostensibly safe corporate position. As a result, I put all of the money in my savings account on my first coach.
“It’s now or never; I have to make this work,” I reasoned. And months later, after demonstrating my presence while no one was looking, I began to make considerable progress.
What My Journey Taught Me About Self-Discovery
My experience has taught me the value of patience and self-assurance. I am a natural go-getter who is always on the lookout for methods to expedite tasks, but I have had to learn to calm down and trust the process.
Entrepreneurship reveals a whole new part of yourself that you were unaware existed. Thus, as my company has developed, I feel as if I have evolved tremendously as a person.
Additionally, I’ve learned to trust myself. I attempted to establish a company several times and it did not work out as intended.
These events caused me to question myself, since it appeared as if every choice I took ended in disaster.
Despite my failures, the nagging desire to start my own company never went away. I attempted to ignore it by returning to a’safe’ 9-5 job, but eventually recognized I wanted to restore confidence in myself regardless of the result.
I am stronger today as a result of my refusal to abandon my goal.
I hope this serves as a reminder to keep pursuing your dreams.
There is value that only you can provide; all that is required is for you to take the jump and share your talents with the rest of the world.
